Two Types of Heat-Resistant Tapes

There are two types of tapes, each with a specific function. One is designed for finishing insulation, while the other is used to apply a reflective layer.

1. Finishing Edges and Seams

These tapes are used to neatly finish insulation materials. They are often thicker and do not stretch or tear easily, ensuring a strong bond between two layers of insulation. A good example is reinforced aluminum tape.

2. Applying a Reflective Layer

These tapes are specifically designed to provide a reflective layer on a surface. They are ideal for small objects, surfaces, or complex shapes, where tape is easier to handle than a large sheet of reflective foil. An example of this is gold tape.
