Quick summary:

Gluecon 1000 is a high-quality, heat-resistant adhesive consisting of a mixture of various inorganic substances. This adhesive is non-combustible and does not produce smoke when overheated. At temperatures exceeding 1000°C, the adhesive will melt but will not burn. The product is particularly suitable for bonding thermal insulation materials, as it can withstand extreme temperatures.

Gluecon 1000 adheres well to almost all substrates, including steel and other materials. Due to its high pH value, it does not damage steel but may cause slight damage to aluminum under humid conditions. Gluecon 1000 is durable, odorless, and resistant to mold, bacteria, and pests.

• Drying time: approx. 8 hours at 20 °C

• Density: approx. 1.5 kg/l

• Viscosity: 9385 cP (10 RPM), 5060 cP (20 RPM)

• Colour: Beige/grey (darker tones available)

• Consistency: Paste-like

• Odour: Odourless

• Shelf life: 6–12 months depending on packaging

• Storage: Store frost-free

Chemical Composition:

• SiO₂: 36–39%

• H₂O: 45–49%

• Na₂O: 5–7%

• Al₂O₃: 6–8%

 Applications:

Ideal for:

• Vermiculite (Pumicon) boards and shapes

• Silicate boards and firebricks

• Ceramic fiber blankets

• High-temperature insulation in stoves, boilers, chimneys

• Industrial packaging solutions

 Usage:

Ready to use. Apply to clean, dry surfaces. Can be:

• Thickened with vermiculite powder

• Thinned with water for easier application

Note: May slightly affect aluminium under humid conditions.
