This is a second chance product that did not pass our quality control. Due to a production error, the yarns are woven less tightly than usual, causing visible shifts in the yarn at various spots. This results in a less neat finish when applied, and at sharp bends the tape may slightly open up.

The product remains fully suitable as an insulation layer where a nice finish is not important.

This high-performance exhaust wrap is made from durable basalt fiber and resists heat up to 800 °C. Ideal for insulating exhaust systems and improving engine performance in cars, motorcycles, trucks, and industrial applications.

Why choose twill-woven “Titanium” exhaust wrap? 

Heat Shieldings’ exhaust wrap uses a twill weave, whereas many competing brands rely on the traditional plain weave. Key advantages of twill over plain: 

• Conforms to every curve – Its supple twill construction hugs bends, collectors and diameter changes without gaps. Plain-woven wrap is stiffer and can leave spaces or rough “steps.”

• Extra heat buffer – More fibre mass per cm² absorbs temperature spikes better than a plain weave.

• Grip that won’t loosen – The diagonal rib adds friction between layers, so the wrap locks itself in place and resists loosening from vibration or thermal cycling.

• Neat, durable finish – Less fraying and a smoother, streamlined appearance.
  
  

How Much Wrap Do You Need?

 

Tip: A 4-cylinder manifold typically requires about 15 meters of wrap.

 

Installation Tips 

1. Clean and degrease the exhaust surface.

2. Wrap tightly with approx. 1 cm overlap per turn.

3. Secure both ends with stainless steel ties.

4. Use a DEI install tool for tight and secure mounting.
   
   

Note: This basalt fiber wrap does not need to be soaked in water – it is naturally flexible.
 
 

Titanium Exhaust Systems 

Wrapping titanium exhausts is not recommended. Titanium alloys are thin and designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping may trap too much heat, causing the metal to become brittle and crack. Use flexible heat shields instead.
